New Tax Code Dialog

General setup > Sales tax > Sales tax codes > Select Add button

What is the dialog used for?

Create a new sales tax code.

Fields & buttons	Description
Description	Enter the description of the sales tax code by typing directly into the text box.
Receipt display	Enter a shorter description to display on the receipt.
Rounding	Values in rounding fields: 1 the number is rounded and displayed with no decimal; 0,1 the number is rounded and displayed with one decimal; 0,01 the number is rounded and displayed with two decimals; And so on.
Rounding method	Round to next: Round up or down, whichever is nearer. Always round down: Always round down to the nearest number. Always round up: Always round up to the nearest number.
From date	Select this check box and choose a date from the calendar menu to make a from date valid for the sales tax code.
To date	Select this check box and choose a date from the calendar menu to make a to date valid for the sales tax code.
Value	Enter the percentage value that is added to the item in tax.
